Premier | The 60th BFI London Film Festival

The 60th BFI London Film Festival took place 5-16 October - Premier provided a dedicated LFF Press team, managing everything from accreditation and press screening programmes to photocalls, conferences and interviews, whilst also supporting distributors, sales agents and filmmakers wishing to promote their films at the Festival.

In conjunction with the Premier Events team the Press team also media managed the many gala red carpets taking place each night in Leicester Square and Embankment Garden.

This was complemented by Premier's Production team who not only produced the official Festival show reel, trailers and sizzles, but also produced gala video packages daily throughout the Festival supported by Premier’s social media team providing live content for LFF social channels.

This year’s edition opened with the European Premiere of Amma Asante’s A United Kingdom whilst the European Premiere of Ben Wheatley’s Free Fire closed the Festival, attended by Wheatley and the ensemble cast. The 249 feature films shown at the festival also included headline galas and special presentations: Andrea Arnold’s American Honey, Denis Villeneuve’s Arrival, Fisher Stevens and Leonardo DiCaprio’s Before The Flood, Nate Parker’s The Birth Of A Nation, Xavier Dolan’s It's Only The End Of The World, Damien Chazelle’s La La Land, Garth Davis’s Lion, Kenneth Lonergan’s Manchester By The Sea, JA Bayona’s A Monster Calls, Tom Ford’s Nocturnal Animals, Mira Nair’s Queen Of Katwe, Oliver Stone’s Snowden, Trolls and Lone Scherfig’s Their Finest.

Audience attendance reached a record-breaking 184,700, an 18% increase on 2015, with the new temporary Embankment Garden Cinema contributing significantly to that growth.
