The BFG: Dream Jar Trail

Premier is proud to have been involved in the creation of The BFG DREAM JAR TRAIL, a major new attraction in place across London until August 31st 2016. Created in collaboration with Entertainment One, Save The Children and Visit London to celebrate the release of Stephen Spielberg’s new big screen adaptation of the Roald Dahl classic, The BFG Dream Jar Trail features 50 giant jars, each featuring the dream of an artist, VIP or celebrated person brought to life as a bespoke sculpture. Contributors include 2 Royals (HRH’s The Duchess of Cornwall and The Countess of Wessex), Steven Spielberg, Buzz Aldrin, Team GB, Sir Ben Ainslie, Professor Stephen Hawking, The Mayor of London, Sir Quentin Blake, Mark Rylance, Zoella and Niall Horan.

It is all in support of Save The Children to help them protect the dreams of children wherever they may find themselves and in some of the worst places in the world.

The trail is live until 31st August, and to find out more visit the official website at www.visitlondon.com/bfg.

Premier also handled the media management of the UK premiere for The BFG on Sunday 17th July. The event saw Leicester Square Gardens transformed into the marvellous world of The Big Friendly Giant for two days over the weekend. Each area of the gardens was themed to the film with giant snozzcumbers, a 10ft high chair, a dream tree, a fully functional waterfall bridge for guests to walk through and a wall of Dream Jars from the Dream Jar Trail.

Premier secured unprecedented broadcast coverage for a Sunday premiere with pieces running across ITV National News in the Morning, lunchtime and Evening on the day of the event, BBC London, Blue Peter, Sky News, ITV Good Morning Britain and ITV Lorraine.

Print coverage included The Daily Telegraph, The Times, lead picture in The Sun’s Bizarre column in which we also set up an exclusive interview with Ruby Barnhill running later that week across 2 pages. We also set up an interview with Mark Rylance and Alistair Foster for the Evening Standard to give them something exclusive to run following the daily papers earlier that day. Additional pieces ran in Metro, Daily Mail, The Scotsman, i and Best Magazine.
