    Guidebooks written by children for adults: award-winning artists Andy Field and Beckie Darlington launch the next instalments in their renowned Book of Your Town series, now featuring Crawley and Thetford

    Part creative imaginings and part actual guide, The Book of Your Town is a series of guidebooks to a town or a city created by up to 250 local school children aged between 8 and 11. Written and edited by children, the book allows readers to experience a town or city through the eyes of that place’s youngest inhabitants.

    Scottish Ensemble presents the first of two specially-commissioned performance films with Glasgow production company Forest of Black: Anna Meredith’s “Tull”

    The musical score comes alive when a forest of pink plinths – each with their own independent character – grows homogeneously in response to the music. Scottish Ensemble musicians – as if museum objects on display – balance precariously on top, whilst performing Anna Meredith’s gripping piece with laser focus.

    Daisy Dickinson commission kicks off two-year partnership between The Glasshouse International Centre for Music (formerly Sage Gateshead) and international arts commissioner Mediale

    On Tuesday 14th November 2023 London-based director/visual artist Daisy Dickinson will be unveiling Three Hundred and Thirty Three: Part One, the first of a triptych of films set in and around the ancient sites and nature of the north east of England, co-commissioned by Mediale and The Glasshouse International Centre for Music, and developed and co-produced by From The Other.
