Account Director - Games

Job Overview

We are looking for an Account Director to join the Premier games team. Reporting directly to the department deputy head, they will manage a team of five and have significant opportunity for growth.

The candidate will be responsible for leading team across a broad range of activities, promoting our clients to the right audiences with campaigns that stand out and make a difference, supporting the department heads in winning new business and representing the games team both within the agency and externally.

Key tasks - Financial

  • Initiate new business contacts and support new business proposals, cross selling other departments where possible
  • Seek out and identify additional revenue opportunities from existing clients
  • Manage the junior members to ensure they contribute to new business plans
  • Support the department heads with accurate information for contracting and accounts procedures

Key tasks - Client Servicing

  • Responsible for evolving PR offering in line with industry, media, platform and influencer trends and changes
  • Lead key client planning process and delivery of plans
  • Regularly speak (in-person or digitally) with key media from gaming and mainstream outlets, and key influencers, and share insights to wider team
  • Quality control on all external facing documents
  • Maintaining good senior client relationships
  • Work alongside department heads to deliver outstanding pitch work
  • Ensure team is frequently sharing positive work or news via the Premier Games social channel
  • Be aware of and share new trends within both the gaming industry and wider consumer comms
  • Advise on the best tools to be using to deliver first class campaigns

Key Tasks - Internal

  • Manage the time of your team effectively with regular check ins and oversee weekly catch ups
  • Support the department heads in ensuring that all team members have clear objectives and motivation
  • Follow all house systems and styles
  • Contribute to the growth and culture of the company by showing an active interest in other departments and encouraging team to do the same
