HEAD OF GAMES

Manage a broad portfolio of clients, planning campaigns and delivering against briefs while ensuring commercial success.

Working directly into a practice director, the role is responsible for running a team making sure work is delivered to the best possible standards in line with client objectives and agency values.

Of equal importance is a strong contribution to the company as a whole, an in-depth understanding of the industry and core leadership skills.

Key tasks – Financial

  • Build up and maintain the department and develop our strong reputation within the gaming industry
  • Plan and implement annual new business strategies to target new areas for growth
  • Initiate new business contacts and prepare new business proposals with no supervision from senior staff, cross selling other departments where possible
  • Seek out and identify additional revenue opportunities from existing clients
  • Manage your junior members to ensure they contribute to your new business plan
  • Ensure that all campaigns (and therefore your team) are profitable and properly resourced
  • Provide the Practice Director with accurate information for contracting and accounts procedures

Key tasks – Client Servicing

  • Ensure we are always delivering best in class PR offering and consultancy to clients
  • Responsible for evolving PR offering in line with industry and media trends and changes
  • Leading key client planning process and delivery of plans
  • Reviewing Account Team work to ensure it is in line with the strategic objectives and high standards required, taking appropriate action to address repeated issues
  • Quality control on all client facing documents
  • Maintaining good senior client relationships in order to keep and grow business
  • Work alongside senior team to deliver outstanding pitch work

Key Tasks – Staffing

  • Work with Practice Director in all staffing and recruitment requirements within your team
  • Candidate selection, interviewing, task setting and evaluation as required
  • Manage the time of your team effectively with regard to annual leave and working patterns
  • Ensuring that all team members have clear objectives and motivation plans set annually, reviewed regularly

Key Tasks – Company-Wide

  • Follow all house systems and styles
  • Contribute to the growth and culture of the company by showing an active interest in other departments and encouraging your teams to do the same.
