Senior Account Manager - Television
Job Function
To manage and maintain existing client business on a day-to-day basis and effectively direct the work of any junior staff in your area, managing upwards as necessary.
Key tasks (Client Accounts)
- Manage day-to-day running of specific client accounts, aiming to fulfil the agreed brief
- To deputise for the team Account Director when required
- Provide Senior client counsel on strategy and campaign delivery
- Devise PR strategies to meet clients’/potential clients’ briefs
- Effectively lead on some campaigns as called upon with little supervision
- Attend and lead client meetings as required
- Oversee team compilation and distribution of client reports and press materials to a high standard
- Draft and present proposals and review documents
- Oversee accurate/prompt press coverage distribution to all clients
- Prepare and manage assets including clips, press packs and image placement
- Organise and manage press briefings and launches
- Proactive feature and interview placement
- Possess and continue to develop excellent TV, showbiz, news, and trade contacts
- Read and monitor key media for client cuttings and associated coverage
- Offer input into other client accounts and proposals
- Identify additional revenue opportunities from existing clients
- Initiate new business contacts and help to prepare new business proposals
- Direct the work of any junior staff in your area to a suitable standard of delivery and to deadline
- Inform senior managers of any client/media/personnel problems in good time
Key Tasks (Company-wide)
- Follow all house systems and styles
- Ensure the contact database is up to date and inform all staff of any key media changes
- Provide the Directors with accurate information for contracting and accounts procedures
- Occasional group responsibilities as requested
