Premier is pleased to announce that FriendsFest, the fully immersive fan experience created for client Comedy Central UK, has been awarded Gold at the PromaxBDA TV marketing awards in New York and will be returning for a nationwide tour in August 2016.
The new, enhanced FriendsFest, which is being produced by Premier, Comedy Central UK and The Luna Cinema, will tour six locations around the UK from August 24th – October 1st. The event will feature newly recreated iconic sets from the show and even more interactive elements to give fans the ultimate Friends experience. Fans will not only be treated to all the best sets from last year’s event, including Monica and Rachel’s apartment, but this time they can also grab a drink at Central Perk, a bite to eat in Monica’s Moon Dance Diner, pose on the beach in Joey’s sand mermaid or even unleash their inner Phoebe by trying their hand at Smelly Cat Karaoke.
There will also be a whole host of other Friends inspired activities for ticket holders, including themed food stalls and cocktail bar, table football and a Las Vegas Chapel of Love where they can share a ‘romantic’ Ross and Rachel moment.
The original FriendsFest was produced by Premier’s event production team in East London last year, and saw a staggering quarter of a million fans apply for the 5,000 tickets available, selling out within 13 minutes.
Premier’s event production and TV PR teams worked together with Comedy Central UK to bring FriendsFest to life and are really excited to take FriendsFest to an even wider audience across the UK this summer.
