Eurovision Song Contest

Once again, Premier has been working as the global PR and social media agency for the Eurovision Song Contest; managing communications and the official social channels for the world's most popular live entertainment event, which this year, took place in Tel Aviv, Israel, in May.

The team at Premier was heavily involved in the management of all comms around the Contest including strategic communications guidance across the year; all International announcements including that of Host City and venue through to revealing of the #DaretoDream slogan and creative; extensive crises communications; accreditation and handling of international press; consulting on the press centre, press conferences and the management of the all-important Grand Final Winner’s ‘moment’.

As the driving force behind the hugely successful official Eurovision social channels, the team continued to provide ongoing insight into audiences which informed our carefully planned strategy, as well as working with all the major social media platforms to maximise output. A wide and varied content plan, with a focus on Instagram, was created, produced and implemented by our social media managers, utilising the many talented participants and additional creative threads with incredible results across all channels, with significant increases in year on year engagement and retention.

The Eurovision year culminated in the Contest’s two event weeks in Israel’s party capital, Tel Aviv, and the Grand final on 18 May where, watched by more than 182 million people worldwide, Duncan Lawrence from the Netherlands was crowned winner with his song, Arcade.
