Premier at MIPCOM 2019

In October 2019 Premier’s specialist corporate PR team took eight of our clients to MIPCOM, the biggest global media and entertainment event, which is held in Cannes every year. The four day event is an opportunity for broadcasters, production companies and distributors across the world to buy and sell programmes and formats, however it’s is also a great market to launch new shows, network and promote your business.

Managing a number of different activities and events on the ground, one of the festival highlights was a Q&A event that we organised for international buyers to get a first glimpse of the upcoming BBC and Hulu series, Normal People; produced by Element Pictures. The panel line up (pictured) featured one of the lead actors Paul Mescal, Element Pictures’ Ed Guiney and Emma Norton, and director Lenny Abrahamson. The show was tipped as one of top five dramas at MIPCOM this year, with Normal People due on screen next year.
