Edinburgh Science Festival
Each year Edinburgh Science delivers Europe’s largest science festival with around 270 events for families and adults over the course of two weeks. Its vibrant and varied programme includes everything from fun family days out to talks and discussions from pioneering thinkers and scientists.
The Corner Shop have been working with Edinburgh Science since 2017 on delivering highly successful campaigns promoting the Festival’s fantastic offer.
As an example, just in 2018 the media campaign for Edinburgh Science Festival campaign generated two front covers of The Scotsman and garnered international print coverage in the Sunday Times in Sri Lanka and The Sunday Herald Sun in Australia. The Festival also appeared in online specialist science media such as The Ecologist and Astronomy Evolution.
The Festival was also mentioned across several radio stations including BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 4 Today, BBC World Service, BBC Radio Scotland, Fun Kids Live, Magic FM and talkRADIO. 4 television programmes featured the Science Festival in 12 pieces. These included CBBC’s Blue Peter, BBC One Scotland’s Reporting Scotland, STV News and STV’s Live at Five.
