In May Premier worked with Amazon Studios on the UK and international campaign for THE VAST OF NIGHT. Set in 1950s New Mexico, director Andrew Patterson’s feature debut makes a nostalgic nod to The Twilight Zone, and proved an audience favourite at Toronto and Slamdance film festivals. The film follows a young switchboard operator Fay (Sierra McCormick) and charismatic radio DJ Everett (Jake Horowitz) who, over the course of one fateful night, discover a strange audio frequency which could change their small community forever.

This is one of several streamed releases we have handled on behalf of Amazon Prime Video so far this year, both for the UK and for key international territories. This launch was turned around in a tight timeframe yet achieved substantial coverage across national newspapers, film magazines and genre outlets, in the UK and internationally. The film’s critical reception was very positive, with predominantly four and five star reviews, and high praise for Patterson, announcing him as a major new voice in American cinema and storytelling.
