2021 Legends of Rugby Dinner

Premier has a long history of providing full event production for the annual Legends of Rugby Dinner event held on behalf of Nordoff Robbins, the Music Therapy Charity.

Traditionally current and past players all come together in person in the name of Rugby, Charity and Music to support this wonderful cause.

In 2021, because of the continued lockdown, the event had to move to the virtual world, and so several teams across Premier joined together to deliver the 2021 Legends of Rugby Dinner in an online environment.

The Events Team, working extremely closely with the Creative Team in house here at Premier, were the main point of contact for the client. Their key roles were to liaise with all third party suppliers including the silent auction partner running live alongside the event. They advised on the best solutions to meet their clients requirements for the streamed content, functionality of the microsite, collation of digital assets to be peppered throughout the filmed content and scriptwriting. On live event day the team supervised all staff briefings and ensured that the charity’s key messaging and extraordinary work was highlighted throughout the night.

The Creative team handled all original content for the stream itself. This included pre-recording sessions with Rugby stars, creating motion graphics, and editing the package together to create a fun an engaging session for audiences at home.

During the live event, the Creative team handled all technical and logistical aspects needed to make the event a success. This included hosting and broadcasting live panel Q&As with up to 30 players on screen and managing a virtual post-show breakout session with hundreds of ticketed guests.

Premier Creative also provided online hosting for the event, designing a branded online microsite to bring the video and Q&A elements together, providing attendees with a slick and seamless experience of the event.

Attendees from around the UK joined this year’s Legends of Rugby Dinner online to raise tens of thousands of pounds for Nordoff Robins.
