Sheffield Docfest

Premier handled the publicity for the 30th edition of Sheffield DocFest 2023, which took place from June 14th – 19th. Led out of Premier’s Manchester office, we handled all aspects of publicity leading up to and during the festival, including handling press accreditation, engaging with local, national and international press, securing key previews, reviews for World Premieres and liaising with journalists and filmmakers to secure interviews throughout the festival. This year saw 37 World Premieres, 20 International Premieres, 10 European Premieres, 47 UK Premieres and 8 retrospective films, from 52 countries of production with special guests such as David Harewood, Munya Chawawa, Rose Ayling-Ellis and Laura Whitmore who all participated in talks during the festival. It was the festival’s most innovative offering yet which, in addition to films, included a theatre production, live podcast events, premieres of TV series and virtual reality exhibitions.
